VISIT NANTUCKET WITHOUT LEAVING BERKELEY
Enjoy a performance and picnic dinner as part of the evening (included in the price of your ticket)!**
Seagulls. Sand dunes. Surfcasters at sundown, their rods bent with fish. Where whaling captains of old gave birth to a mightier world economy, and where today’s New England elite spend their summers. But in the dead of winter Nantucket is a different place, an island where the reality is that not everyone will be a survivor.
Nantucket by Mark Kenward is a unique solo performance event featuring guest artists presenting music, video, and photography. Audience members will enjoy a New England picnic dinner by the East Bay’s premiere artisan takeout restaurant Grégoire. So jump aboard and hear a story that may change how you think about islands and the people who live on them.
All performances include a New England picnic dinner from Grégoire picked up during intermission.** Certain nights will feature live musicians performing island classics. Dinner options available on a first-come first-served basis. You will choose your dinner upon your arrival. Check out these delicious picnic dinner options:
- Corned beef with braised cabbage and gruyere cheese on rye bread
- Deep fried clam patty with marinated tomato & roasted garlic salsa in pantofolina
- Fried buttermilk chicken filet with spicy cole slaw on French roll
- Roasted vegetables with hummus in grilled gluten free wrap (vegan & vegetarian, of course, and ALSO gluten free!) *Please arrive early for this option as quantities will be limited*
- New England Clam Chowder will be available as an add-on at the show for only $5 more!
Plus: Beer, wine, specialty cocktails, tea, coffee, and cookies available for purchase before the show and during intermission.
**Please note that the picnic dinner does not come with the price of a Goldstar ticket. Meals will be available for purchase at intermission for Goldstar patrons.

“An affable, poised, physically demonstrative performer with a residual Midwestern charm, Kenward describes an upbringing in a household overshadowed by a high-strung, controlling, deeply unhappy mother… Nantucket … maintains an inescapable pull.”
