Sometimes I am amazed that I am still amazed at the things I see at The Marsh. It’s almost 29 years.
Like last night’s closing of Will Durst’s DURST CASE SCENARIO. It started out with a pre WILL & WILLIW SHOW, featuring Will and Willie Brown and special guest Christine Pelosi.
What a fire brand. What an inspiration. Christine is Chair of the California Democratic Party Women’s Caucus. She conducts leadership boot camps based on her book, Campaign Boot Camps: Basic Training for Future Leaders. She came out supporting the “me too” movement, claiming that there is sexual harassment at the CA state capital protected by the lawmakers.
Great to meet her. Great to have Christine in The Marsh house.
Then watching Will Durst finale show. Even after seeing it so many times, I still laughed my socks off. And was amazed at the growth of the show over its thrice extended Marsh run.
It’s amazing to see all the new shows and watching them develop, like:
Lynne Kaufman’s brilliant TWO MINDS with such incredible acting by Brian Herndon and Jackson Davis, and directing by Robert Kelley. Only 5 more shows before it must close.
Don Reed’s CAN YOU DIG IT – THE 60s. What a gift to see the wondrous Don perform. There’s only 5 more shows in SF.
Welcoming back Unique Derique’s FOOL LA LA: OVER THE RAINBOW, a thrilling show for youth and families.
Speaking of youth, check out our MYT Summer Camps in June and July. Each one-week camp culminates in a student performance.
On Monday, June 4th in Berkeley catch our TIMES UNSEEN performers developing their stories.
Our shows are like good win. Tasty expansion of palate. And never too much. Never a hangover.
Hope to see you soon,
