Each year The Marsh develops dozens of new solo shows through our classes, performance opportunities, and private work with Marsh directors and coaches. It is wonderful when one of these shows works its way up through our “development pipeline” to have a main stage run at The Marsh. But equally exciting is when a show that was developed at The Marsh goes on to inspire and entertain audiences in a far away city.
This summer was a particularly strong one for The Marsh community, with numerous performers garnering rave reviews, sold-out audiences, and ‘Best Of’ awards in over 20 Fringe Festivals in the US and Canada. We are very excited to present four of these performers, fresh off the road, in our Marsh Rising Series this fall featuring David Caggiano, Jill Vice, David Kleinberg, and Irma Herrera.
*See below for a full list of Marsh performers that are taking their stories beyond The Marsh to Fringe Festivals across the world.
And make sure to grab tickets to our Marsh shows this weekend. Don Reed is taking you to the 80s with his hit show, KIPLING HOTEL now playing in Berkeley. And Brian Copeland’s NOT A GENUINE BLACK MAN in San Francisco is now somehow more relevant than ever. Will Durst’s DURST CASE SCENARIO still has a handful of tickets open for next Tuesday, don’t miss it!
Last, but not least, Hannah Taylor’s BREED & RESCUE opened last week and Marshians are raving about this bold and powerful musical. Dark this weekend, but back on the 14th!
