Who would have thought that “magic mushrooms” could play such a role for Adam Strauss? His hilarious, poignant THE MUSHROOM CURE was for me an eye opening discovery journey both for myself and into his OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) world. We all are on the “spectrum” but some of us are low end buoyed by our attention to details and others are constricted. His journey to be able to, say, pick a shirt so he can get out of the house. A most hilarious adventure.
This week, Adam has two post-performance talkbacks.
Friday, May 18: Kasia Malinowska, Drug Reform: Science and Compassion in the Age of Trump. Kasia is the Director of George Soro’s philanthropic Open Society Foundation.
Saturday, May 19: Rebecca Matthews’ discusses, The Oldest New Medicine: Psychedelic Therapy in the 21st century. Rebecca is the Clinical Operations Manager for MAPS.
Award-winning playwright, Lynne Kaufman’s TWO MINDS continues to delight! Amazing acting by Jackson Davis and Brian Herndon and direction by Theater Works Artistic Director, Robert Kelley. TWO MINDS is another mind-opening, funny experience.
Don Reed’s CAN YOU DIG IT? – The 60s prequel to East 14th.
WILL DURST Final 2:
DURST CASE SCENARIO only 2 more shows. MUST close May 29.
All my best,
Artistic Director & Founder
