NOTES ON YOUR NOTES (A Live Podcast Recording)
with Joshua Townshend-Zellner & Adam Lesser
Monday, April 30, 2018 | 7:30pm
Join us for an evening of deep conversation around the creative process and how community and connection are the keys to our success.
Artistic Director Stephanie Weisman joins the creators of the weekly podcast Notes on Your Notes, Joshua Townshend and Adam Lesser, to discuss her process for leading and growing the nation’s foremost theater for the solo performance. Also joining us will be a Special Guest Artists that will be opening a new show the Marsh Theater. Be ready to hear an exciting story about their journey that took them from a creative spark, through show development to finally, landing a run at The Marsh.
This is an opportunity for everyone to connect with other artists and creators. There will be a “no host bar” before the event and during intermission/mixer time as we build a stronger community around the appreciation of the creative process and our personal commitments to our art.
It won’t stop there. The second half of the evening will be a master class in direction and story development as acclaimed theater director, Joshua Townshend-Zellner leads a select group of 3 performers through their process of sharing their material, taking notes, and integrating and evolving their work in the moment. Co-Host and writer/journalist Adam Lesser will be providing notes to strengthen the narrative, the dialogue and overall structure. It’s a rare opportunity to see the storytelling development process that will make your creative projects–whatever they are–more powerful and land with the impact you want to create. Special Bonus–we will be having an audience Q&A session.
