Show Description

Maria hopes a trip to her mom’s hometown in Italy will shed some light on their volatile relationship. Maybe singing arias at at full voice in the supermarket and offering to sell your daughter are just quaint Old World traditions? But even old friends in Italy are astonished when mom starts flinging pasta and bad poetry.

Presented in connection with “A Tale of Two Women from postwar Italian cinema to human rights today,” April 24-26, Berkeley Law and other UC Berkeley venues.
