About the Artist

Kate Robards is an award-winning writer, actor, and comedian from Orange, Texas. Her work has been called “hilarious and heartbreaking” by The Washington Post and the San Francisco Chronicle said has “wry wit.” She’s performed in more than 20 festivals and most recently was seen at the 2020 SF Sketchfest where she did two stand-up showcases. Kate has written five plays and performed, and toured three autobiographical solo shows including Mandarin Orange (2014), Ain’t That Rich (2016), and PolySHAMory (2018). She has appeared on VICE and Inside Edition; written for Kathy Griffin, Busy Phillips, Stacey Abrams, and toured the country and abroad.
