About the Show

Saffron Confessions is a semi-autobiographical one-woman comedy that invites you into the chaos of an Iranian-American dinner party. One performer becomes the whole family, from a perfectionist mom to a moonshining uncle to a radical grandmother, in a coming-of-age story that untangles why some people leave home and some stay. 

Come hungry, leave judged.

Artist Biography

Michelle Moghtader is a comedian, writer, and improviser based in San Francisco. A former Middle East journalist and co-founder of an international dialogue initiative, she now brings her eye for human connection to the stage. Her work explores diaspora, identity, and the chaos of family life with warmth, honesty and humor.
