Improv On Demand is a narrative long-form improv group based in the Bay Area, whose formats range from Improvised Shakespeare to Improvised Grand Theft Auto. Alumni of the Stanford Improvisors, they play with an emphasis on grounded emotions and relationships. On Demand’s Monday Improv at the Marsh will be half show, half jam. Come for a fully unscripted play, and stick around for a guided group improv jam afterwards!
Featuring Julian Bernado, Will Gutzman, Thomas Hatcher, Anna Mistele, Daania Tahir, and Simran Tandon.
November 2, 2026: Improvised Elections
Improvised Elections is an improvised political drama (think House of Cards, West Wing, Scandal) following three fictional political candidates competing in an election. We provide a look into the dirty backroom dealings, fiery debates, and inner lives of these politicians. Note, this show does not feature real politicians nor does it aim to make any political statement. While we do adopt the genre and tone of political dramas, the humor is derived from the absurd issues under debate by the candidates (e.g. Matcha vs. Ube, should ugly dogs be outlawed) acted with full seriousness.
East Bay improv partnership: The Last Night Show
The Late Night Show is a Berkeley-born sketch & improv group with roots from all over the country. We blend LA game-forward style with Chicago character work, and use music as a thread to tie it all together to tell chaotic, silly, poignant, and topical stories about the world we live in. Every show starts from one question: What did you do last night?
Structure: Each team will do a 45-minute performance, with a 5-minute break in between, and then there will be a 30 minute jam.
