Redwood Nights – Don Reed returns to the Marsh with an all new offering. Redwood Nights: Storytelling ‘Round the Barrels & Candlelight. One host – 4 storytellers. Sometimes funny. Sometimes moving. Always true. Based on the very successful Redwood Nights: Storytelling Under the Stars that Don created at Deer Park Villa. This is the intimate, captivating indoor theatrical version complete with Barrels & Candlelight. Expect hilarious, emotional, challenging, deeply human, true stories from performers featured on NPR, The Moth, HBO, PBS, Off Broadway, The Tonight Show, and more — There’s nothing quite like this experience. .

About the Host

Don Reed was an NPR Snap Judgment Storyteller of the Year and is a newly minted Simon & Schuster author. He has run 9 solo shows at The Marsh since 2009. Reed’s solo storytelling shows have won and been nominated for multiple Theatre Bay Area, Off Broadway, and San Francisco Theatre Critics Cirlce awards. He was triple nominated for the 2024 BroadwayWorld San Francisco Bay Area Awards for Best Solo Performance/Best Play/Best Director for THE DMV. Not long ago he partnered with Johnny Carson’s – Carson Entertainment Group for his multi-media one man show “The Never Too Late Show”, sharing producing duties with Seinfeld writer Pat Hazell. Don is the host and creator of tonight’s event – sharing producing duties with friend and entertainment partner Mike Ghiringhelli.
