Show Description

Divorced: The Musical is a radically honest tragicomedic journey of healing and fresh pain after divorce. Hannah, a bi-sexual woman in her late 30s, spirals into deeper and deeper self-awareness in the year following separation from her husband. The process is messy and filled with contradictions!


Artist Biography

Hannah Gould, Theater Educator and Performance Artist

Hannah Gould is a theater educator, writer, director, and performance artist based in Santa Cruz, CA. She recently wrote and performed two short one-person shows: It’s Not You, and It’s Me. This is her first musical.

Katie Macks

Katie is a life coach, activist and storyteller devoted to justice. She has been working throughout her life to dismantle oppressive systems that marginalize and divide. Through coaching she brings justice home into the relationship we have with ourselves. Through storytelling she practices activism as medicine, using narrative to restore connection and collective healing.

No one escapes the reach of our patriarchal systems. They shape us, seduce us and convince us that its rules are our own. Buckle up, as Katie takes us on a ride to break free from the invisible shackles that intentionally bind us. Will she be able to crack the code that has stifled us from being who we’re meant to be?
