Show Description
Adam & Eve On A Raft is the story of a man and a woman exiled from paradise. They dance, drink, grieve, quarrel and love through wonders and horrors of contemporary America. The story unfolds through dream-like monologues and original songs in the classic American songbook style.
The piece was awarded “Best of Fringe” by the 2018 San Francisco Fringe Festival.
Artist Biography
The Book of Jones began as the Americana band Along Came Jones, led by classically trained singer, guitarist, and composer Dennis Finnegan. Lyricist Johny Blood began performing brief monologues between the songs, and eventually they “flipped the script” and fit the songs to the spoken parts to create a theatrical piece. They are joined by singer/songwriter Kathy Sparling, who has released two albums of her own, and Bay Area performer Juliana Sorem. The Book of Jones has performed at the Fringe Festival, The Marsh, and other Bay Area venues.
