My New Mom
Written and Performed by Anne Bach
Santa Barbara, CA, USA
Getting adopted at ten is an improvement on living with relatives who don’t want you, or being placed in questionable foster care, or even getting put a county orphanage. However, it can be a major challenge adjusting to to the elaborate rules of a perfectionistic new mother, who is given to erratic excess. But, she does have a connection to the lost father, and some truly unusual qualities. It’s when things get out of control that a new possibility emerges.
