The Climate Monologues

In “The Climate Monologues”, heart, humor and inspiration resound through personal stories, enhanced by original songs, from passionate “everyday” people moved to action by climate change or fossil fuel energy in their lives and communities. Family, friendship and faith transform challenges into opportunities.

About the Performer

A climate change educator since 2000, award-winning singer-songwriter-actor Sharon Abreu created “The Climate Monologues” after meeting people whose stories she was inspired to share. These powerful true stories celebrate the human spirit while exploring solutions to the greatest challenge of our time. Sharon performed the show in the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival and the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York. She is also executive director of Irthlingz Arts-Based Environmental Education.

ABOUT SOLO ARTS HEAL

Solo performers present real-life, empowering stories. Transformative experiences for audiences. A theater of resilience that celebrates overcoming mental and physical life challenges and offers hope and inspiration. SOLO ARTS HEAL includes excerpts, talkbacks, and Q&A that provide education and advocacy. Readings or clips of performances will be shared by artists in conversation with Gail Schickele, whose work as a manager and producer of solo artists inspired collaboration of performing arts presenters with artists on a medical track based on their personal experience. The collective creative vision? To help communities through educational outreach and the healing power of the Arts.
