MYT SUMMER ASSISTANT 2026
The Marsh Youth Theater Assistant Assistants will work with Teaching Artists with children (K-5) in weeklong Summer Camps that culminates with a show on Friday. Assistants will help with the general running of the program, including being present to assist during lunch and recess during our camps. Assistants may be assigned to a mentor teacher who will include them in the planning and teaching process of the production. We try to work with your interests to make the experience worthwhile for all of us. JOB DUTIES:- Assist with the planning and implementing of Summer Camps
- Assist with organizing and distributing instruments and instructional materials
- Creating and organizing props and t-shirts
- Stage management
- Playing age appropriate games and helping kids stay on task
- Providing a safe and fun environment for everyone to create and perform a show
- Helping prepare, distribute, and clean up after snacks and lunch
- Collaborate with Teaching Artists and MYT Director
- Experience working with children
- Conversational Spanish preferred but not required
- Theater Education experience preferred but not required
- Must submit a TB Test and a Live Scan before work start date
